// HOSTING LEADERBOARD
Hosting, measured.
Rankings appear only when measured data backs them.
Time to First Byte (TTFB) is how long a server takes to start responding — before any page code runs. It is the part of load speed your hosting controls, which makes it a directly comparable single number.

Hosts are listed alphabetically; measured performance figures appear once cited benchmark data is in place. Prices and uptime percentages are each host's own advertised numbers (checked 2026-07-17), not measurements by this site — intro rates usually renew higher.
Why TTFB, and not a review score?
Review scores blend opinions, feature checklists, and sometimes sponsorships. TTFB is a stopwatch reading: how many milliseconds until the server answers. It can be measured, repeated, and independently verified — and it's the number page-level optimization can't fix. Everything else about choosing a host (support, pricing, features) is your call; the speed part is measurable.
The number that matters most is your own.
